Varna is a city of ancient history and natural beauty.
The area has been inhabited since ancient times. The Archaeological Museum treasures the famous Calcolithic Gold Treasure which is over 6200 years old and is considered to be the oldest in the world worked by man gold. The Roman Baths of ancient Odessos are among the best preserved in this part of the world. Besides being the favourite place for a walk of the locals the Maritime Garden is also known for sheltering the Open Exposition of the Museum of Naval History, the Zoo, the Aquarium and the Dolphinarium.
