The tours takes you for a full-day journey across the Balkan Mountains and along the Black Sea Riviera to some of the most beautiful spots in Bulgaria - Balchik and Kaliakra Cape.

Balchik is a small holiday town with centuries-old history. Today the town is famous for its Botanical Garden and the Summer Palace of Queen Mary of Romania.

The Botanical Garden one of the largest in the country, containing a variety of fountains, ponds, colonnades and water mills. There are over 3000 species of plants including hundreds of rare plants from all over the world. There are a rose garden, a cactus garden, a garden of Allah and a garden of Gethsemane.

The buildings of the Summer Palace of Queen Mary of Romania are scattered amongst the fresh greenery of the park. The Queen summered here in the first half of the XX century. She claimed the palace as her unearthly place and she called it the Quiet Nest. If you do not expect to see the usual grand buildings for a palace you'd be fascinated by the charming buildings intended for the Romanian Roayl family and their guests. The architectural style is an elegant mixture of Christian and Moslem elements. The Queen ruled over territory with Christian and Moslem subjects and her aim was to bring the two religions together. There is also a spicy rumour that the palace was the love nest of the Queen and her Turkish lover.

Kaliakra is natural cape protruding about 2 km into the sea. In addition to the striking beauty of the landscape, the region is also noted for the fact that it is home to a number of dolphins, seals and cormorants. Therefore the area has been declared a natural reserve. The cape has been inhabited since ancient times and there are numerous archaeological remains. The name of the cape means "The Beautiful Cape" and its dramatic beauty is highlighted by numerous vivid legends. The legends tell of Lysimachus, one of the generals of Alexander of Macedonia, whose ship loaded with gold treasures sank here. Of the 40 Christian maidens who tailed their hairs together and threw themselves from the high rocks into the sea to escape from the Muslim invaders. Of St. Nikola, the patron-saint of seafarers and fishermen, whose symbolic grave is in an old chapel here.

Tasteful lunch and delightful wine tasting of local red and white wine will add to a great day!
